Even after a model has been released for sale, every automaker makes a concerted effort to enhance it. One method is to repeatedly test it until something fails so that the automaker may address the possible issue before any customers experience it.
The film, which Tesla recently made available on its official YouTube channel, shows how field quality engineers tested the durability of the Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y in the sweltering conditions of Dubai and the surrounding region, where summertime temperatures regularly exceed 50 degrees Celsius.
In addition to that, the humidity can also reach 80 to 90%, making the combination intolerable for many. However, the vehicles must deliver on their promises while being comfortable inside. As one of the engineers in the film notes, Tesla, like many other automakers, carries out wintertime cold weather testing in northern Europe.
Tesla recently announced that it can now produce 5,000 Model Y automobiles each week at its Texas factory, which translates to around 260,000 vehicles annually. A minimum of 250,000 automobiles can be produced annually at the Texas-based Tesla facility. The Model Y from Tesla is a 300-mile-range electric semi-SUV.
