The prestigious corporation “Lotus” has revealed the most recent details of its Evija hypercar, and the numbers demonstrate a significantly better ratio than it initially stated. The car’s 2,011 horsepower total output is nearly 100 horsepower more than the Rimac Nevera vehicle. With a torque of 1,703 newton meters, “Lotus Evija” is 600 newton meters less powerful than Rimac or Pininfarina Battista.
Furthermore, the Evija accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in less than 3 seconds and up to 300kmph in less than 9 seconds. The Evija has a curb weight of 1,886 kilograms, which is primarily supported by the 93kWh battery pack, as the rest of the car is made of carbon fiber and the wheels are made of magnesium to save weight.
The Evija has a range of 400 kilometers on a single charge, which is arguably adequate given that charging takes less than 20 minutes if a 350kW DC charger is available. Lotus unveiled Evija at a private event at its headquarters in Hethel, UK. The car on display was the Evija Fittipaldi, a special edition commemorating Emerson Fittipaldi’s five victories in the 1972 Formula One season while driving the Lotus Type 72.
In contrast to the 130 units of the Lotus Evija that will be produced, only 8 of the Evija Fittipaldi will be made; orders are anticipated to start next year.
