Tesla, the renowned electric vehicle manufacturer, has recently applied further discounts to its new inventory of Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. As a result, customers can now get their hands on a brand-new Model 3 with zero miles on the odometer for as little as $37,940. The discounts for the Model 3 range from several hundred dollars to over $5,000, while the Model Y discounts are less significant, with up to $2,770 off, mostly applying to Performance variants.
The most exciting part is that eligible customers can obtain a new Model 3 for just $30,440, taking into account the full $7,500 tax credit. After factoring in delivery and order fees, the final purchase price comes to $32,080.
In the past, when the “off-the-menu” Model 3 Standard Range was priced at $35,000, Tesla vehicles were not eligible for any form of federal tax credit. However, the introduction of new rules last year changed this scenario. Consequently, with the tax credit now considered, it has never been more affordable to purchase a new Model 3 than it is right now.
It seems clear that Tesla is making an effort to clear out as much existing Model 3 inventory as possible before the anticipated launch of the new version later this year. The upcoming Model 3 refresh was seemingly leaked back in April and has since been confirmed by a reliable source “with some relation” to Tesla.
The Model 3 has been on the market for six years, making a refresh well overdue. Additionally, a Model Y update is also expected to follow shortly, considering how much it shares in common with the Model 3. The new Model 3 is rumored to be revealed in Q3 of 2023, with production commencing shortly after. However, as is often the case with Tesla, delays could occur.
